Orange County Public Library cards are issued free to residents of California. Cards can be obtained by visiting the local branch and presenting photo identification and proof of residency. The following can be used to prove residency: a California driver's license, a DMV ID card, military ID, Mexican Consular Identification card, or an ID with address verification. Minors are required to have the signature and driver's license number of a parent or legal guardian on the application.

Internet Access:

The Orange County Library system maintains its own web site. Users can check the book catalogues of the entire county-wide library system by logging onto the iBistro system. In addition, library card holders can access their accounts online to check status and renew books. More detailed information regarding the number of items that can be borrowed at a time and fines for late return is available on the web site or at the library.
