Library Cards:

Library cards are issued free to residents of Lake Worth. To obtain a library card users must show one piece of identification with name and current residential address. The following items are acceptable forms of I.D: Florida driver’s license, Florida State I.D., voter’s registration card , utility bill, phone bill, gas bill, check book, property tax bill, bank statement, lease (3 months or longer), deed, or mortgage papers, motor vehicle registration, and First Class Mail postmarked within the past 30 days.

The Lake Worth Library is a member of the Library Cooperative of the Palm Beaches which allows members to use the facilities of the other libraries without charge.

There are several types of library cards based on residence:
               Non-Residents/Pay Cards
               Power Cards
               Library Cooperative Residents
               Juvenile Resident Cards
               Adult Resident Cards

Adult resident cards are issued to those 18 and older who reside in the city limits of Lake Worth. Adult resident cards will have an expiration date of three (3) years. Those who own property in the City of Lake Worth are eligible for a resident card even if they do not live in the City. A tax bill listing the property and the owner will be required for this card.

Business owners, other than those who reside in an area served by the Library Cooperative of the Palm Beaches, may also qualify for a special resident card by showing the current business license. This type of resident card will expire one (1) year from date of issue.
