Library Cards:

Library cards are issued free to residents of Palm Beach County. The following can be used to prove residency: a Florida driver's license, a utility bill, a checkbook, or a voter's ID card. If you are a new resident and have not yet obtained any of the above, a piece of regular mail with your name and address can be used. However, the latter must be used in conjunction with another form of ID. An out-of-state driver's license will suffice.

Non-residents may obtain a library card for an annual fee of $30. For seasonal visitors, a six-month card is available for $15.

Internet Access:

The Palm Beach County Library system maintains its own web site. Users can check the book catalogues of the entire county-wide library system. If a book is available at another branch, it can be delivered to any branch via the courier service. Also library card holders can access their accounts online to check status and renew books, thereby saving a trip to the library. More detailed information regarding the number of items that can be borrowed at a time and fines for late return is available on the web site or in booklets at the library.
